Course Duration & Format

This programme is delivered fully in person to ensure hands-on learning.

  • Minimum 8 hours in-class

Blended learning is not offered, as infant CPR skills require direct instructor supervision and practice.

Instructor

Training is delivered by certified First Aid instructors experienced in emergency first aid for child care and infant CPR.

Prerequisites

None required.

Completion Requirements

To receive certification, participants must:

  • Successfully demonstrate all skills
  • Achieve a minimum of 75% on the written evaluation
  • Attend and participate fully in the course

Certification

Upon completion, participants receive:

  • 3-year Emergency Child Care First Aid certification

This certification is widely recognized and required by many childcare centres, schools, and community programs.

Recertification requires:

  • 6 hours in-class instruction
