Keeping employees safe is essential to a healthy workplace. When staff know how to protect themselves and others, productivity improves and illness-related absences decrease.
The Red Cross Preventing Disease Transmission (PDT) online course helps organizations meet public health and safety guidelines. It is suitable for all workplaces, including frontline services, retail, community and social services, and environments supporting vulnerable populations.
Participants will learn:
This course is based on current, evidence-based guidance from the World Health Organization, Public Health Agency of Canada, and the International Red Cross/Red Crescent.
The PDT course is also available in virtual and in-person formats, led by a Red Cross First Aid Instructor and including live demonstrations with PPE and teaching aids.
Participants who successfully complete the course receive a three-year Preventing Disease Transmission certification.
