Prerequisites

To enroll, participants must meet the following requirements before the first day of class. Holding a valid first aid credential ensures readiness for emergency medical responder certification training.

  • Canadian Red Cross Standard First Aid Level C (valid)

Completion Requirements

Participants must meet all evaluation and attendance standards to qualify for certification. The emergency medical responder certification is awarded only upon successful completion of every requirement.

  • Demonstration of all required practical skills
  • Completion of two evaluated scenarios
      • One medical
      • One trauma
  • Minimum 75% pass mark on the written exam
  • 100% attendance and active participation

Graduates earn a 3-year EMR certification and a 1-year BLS certification.
